Double your pleasure, double your fun… ruin your New Year’s Resolution?

Why just have brownies when you could brownies with chocolate chip cookie dough? I spotted these at Bakerella this morning. Evil. Evil I say!

But you know I will be making these sometime soon. I have been thinking about “Superbowl” foods and got stuck on the dessert: cookies or brownies? With these I don’t have to choose…
Chocolate Chip Cookie + Brownie? Sounds good. But how about Chocolate Chip Cookie topped with Chocolate Cake? Last week I saw this fabulous chocolate cake + cookie combo at Dog Hill Kitchen:


Looks yummy. I have a feeling someone will be getting one of these for their birthday cake…

These doubled up desserts have started my mind reeling. I’m already thinking of other combinations… brownie + cheesecake? I am still trying to “eat healthy” so these thoughts don’t really help (then again, neither does upside down cake). But I do need to get back into the kitchen for real sometime soon. I just have that itch.

Candied Citrus Peel as seen on The Small Object. They look interesting and I bet they are yummy (citrusy, sugary, … ). She also packages them in little wax bags with cute labels. I am inspired. Once I master caramels, I will try these :)
