I received an unexpected gift this Christmas from a few people that Dan works with: a copy of Martha Stewart’s Cookies. A lot of the treats I have baked in the last year found their way to Dan’s office and while I haven’t spent much time around his team, they all know me. It’s kind of funny to be known through my baking but then again it seems to fit. A few folks got together to buy me this book as a thank you for all of the goodies… and maybe as encouragement to bake more?

12 days of cookies: sugar cookies

The holiday classic: sugar cookies. Cut out and decorated in bright colors and sprinkles. It seemed a fitting end to the 12 days of cookies.

That’s right, it’s Day 12. Finally. Well, I guess technically it is Cookie 12 and day 17. Not quite what I had intended when I started the 12 days of cookies but you know, life happens.

First, thank you all for playing along with me. I loved reading what you really want for Christmas. Everything from quality family time to a trip around the world… and literally everything in between.

As for me, what I’d like for Christmas is some focus and motivation to help me find a career that I love. OR to be independently wealthy. But I will settle for a day spent with loved ones and a home-cooked Christmas dinner.
