I had writing class tonight. And thanks to my highly developed skills of procrastination, I did not start on my homework until this morning. That made for a busy and writing-intensive day. And now I’m pooped.
But because I promised a photo with every post this month, here is one of Dan that I really like:
I played around a little bit in Photoshop to give it that vintage look. I’m not an expert with Photoshop but I enjoy playing with it, and learning new things. Maybe one day I’ll sit down and read a tutorial or something. Until then I will rely on “actions” I’ve found online that do magical things at the touch of a button. (Take a look at the Pioneer Woman’s action sets for an example of what I’m talking about).
More food tomorrow…. good night.

Awwww. Nice one. :-)
Thanks Brit :)
Welcome to NaBloPoMo :) I found your blog on the blogroll and wanted to pop in and say hello! That’s a really nice photo of Dan. I just got photoshop elements and have been doing a lot of playing. I’m thinking that I need to do more learning on the subject though – I’d be less frustrated haha!
Kristin – The Goat
Hi Kristin,
Photoshop can be fun, and it can also be very frustrating (for me). I still have not mastered more than correcting the exposure of a photo, but I like to play and sometimes that gets me a cool picture in the end. I’m not sure if Photoshop Elements uses action sets, but if it does give them a try. It gives you some pre-packaged effects to turn to before you figure out the rest of photoshop on your own.
