Okay, so… I know the summer peaches are almost gone, and that’s really a bummer (I love peaches).  But just in case you still have one or two lying around without a purpose I wanted to share this with you.  This salad was inspired by one I had at the Taste of the Nation in Napa last month.  It was one of the simplest dishes being served but it had the greatest impact on me.  The dressing was light, and the peach delectable… plump and ripe, the juices ran down my chin and fingers. Time for BBQ, beach, brownies, and bidding adieu to summer (though you wouldn’t know it with the weather around here… in the 90s all week, sheesh). If like me, you procrastinate and have waited until the weekend actually starts before deciding what you do or, more importantly, eat, here are a few ideas to get you started:

BBQ chicken (up close)BBQ Chicken is always a classic.

Pasta salad.Use up some of your garden veggies in a pasta salad.

Watermelon margaritaAnd wash it all down with a watermelon margarita

But what about dessert? Patience, grasshopper. I was just getting there…
