Okay, it’s not a dress. It’s a new look for my site. I started making small changes a couple of weeks ago and I just couldn’t stop.
So… what do you think? I’d love to hear your opinions (“I love it!”, “I hate it!”, “You smell funny”… you know, whatever you’re thinking) and please let me know if I overlooked something or broke something (there are bound to be a few glitches as the changes settle in).
And since I’ve been too busy mucking around in css and php code to do much baking, here are a few recipes that caught my eye on other blogs…
- Katie from Salt and Chocolate baked a delicious looking Apple Spice Bread… I can almost smell it.
- Pim of Chez Pim shows us how to make a crispy fruit crumble
- Allen on Eating Out Loud features pumpkin nut bars. I’m ready for some pumpkin!
- And lastly, on Culinary Concoctions by Peabody, a pumpkin caramel cheesecake turtle bread… wow, that’s a mouthful. And I would really love to try a mouthful (pumpkin. caramel. cheesecake… there’s nothing left to say)
a little food for thought…
- Cathy from Not Eating Out in New York wrote a nice piece about a Mastering the Art of Sustainable Cooking contest from Brighter Planet.

Looks great, Patricia! And that pumpkin caramel cheesecake turtle bread sounds insane!
Looks great!
I like it!
Oh it looks so good! Cool!
Great to meet you at the BlogHer conference!
Like it – The pink gingham says “homey” (reminds me of comfort food and mom) and the cursive font says “personal” (that’s a compliment). I also like the “girly” asterisk (a nice touch imho). Works well with “Brownies for Dinner”. The background color pops the blog and ties in with the asterisk, and the site is still easy to navigate. Not sure if you wanted more than “I like it” but figured I’d give a little more feedback just to show that your design efforts are much appreciated. :-)
Thanks everyone!
@jen maiser – It was great to meet you too! I hope to run into you again sometime. btw – I’m looking forward to the October Eat Local Challenge.
@Brit Hammer – Thanks, I love the detailed feedback… especially when it sounds like everything I was going for came through in the design :)
Hi P,
I I love the new dress. Actually the new background really does remind me of a dress. A really pretty dress from the 50′s…. And pink, of course!! The brown and pink fo well thgether. I also think that it is great that you have a “Dans Favorite” section. I know that is not new, but I do love it:)
