I like to spend my spare time thinking about happy things like chocolate, cupcakes, and blueberry pancakes. But sometimes it is important to take a step back and realize how fortunate I am in my life and give back a little. So when I first came across Share Our Strength and its Great American Bake Sale (GABS) I thought that would be a perfect way to put those cupcakes to work. And I almost organized a bake sale myself. But then Kate from Cooking during Stolen Moments contacted me to see if I’d like to participate in her Virtual GABS. Virtual? What a great idea! So I submitted a recipe for the e-book that Kate was compiling for the Virtual GABS.
I contributed the chocolate chunk cupcake that I posted last month(aka “the Ultimate Cupcake”). But there are 170 recipes in the e-book contributed by a lot of great bloggers. How can you get this e-book? You choose the amount you’d like to donate and in exchange you get this e-book chock full of recipes (not just cupcakes either). Links to purchase the e-book are below. But first a little more info…
Check out Cooking during Stolen Moments. Kate did a fantastic job organizing this event and compiling the ebook. You can order the ebook from her site or take a look below for more details:
Welcome to the Virtual Great American Bake Sale. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these ebooks will go toward Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale program. Funds raised through Great American Bake Sale are donated to after-school and summer feeding programs–food programs that many kids depend on when school is not in session. Great American Bake Sale is a program of Share Our Strength, a national organization working to make sure no kid in America grows up hungry.
The ebooks are a compilation of recipes from submitters across the blogosphere and beyond. The ebooks are available for purchase based on any donation amount of the buyer’s choosing.
Features all 170 of the submitted recipes. Many of the recipes include pictures.

Just like for the Complete ebook, many of these recipes include pictures. And again, they are available for purchase based on any donation amount of the buyer’s choosing.
