Apple cider caramels, round 1 – The sugar wins

I stepped away for a second… a second!… and the sugar burned a little. It didn’t come out caramel colored. Instead it is a deep, dark brown. I made the dark (burned) sugar into caramels anyway.

Not bad, just a little savory. haha. But not a candidate for Christmas gifting. On to round 2. Wish me luck!
